General information only
The guides, articles and answers on this Site are general information for homeowners and businesses in Buncombe County. They are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a qualified technician.
The company that performs the restoration work
Asheville Water Damage Restoration is a call line. It answers calls and online requests for water damage service and passes each one to the nearest available independent local company. It does not extract water, dry buildings, assess damage, test for mold or carry out repairs. The independent company that attends does that work, and that company alone is responsible for its assessment, its scope, its pricing, its equipment and its workmanship.
The licences and permits a job requires belong to the attending company and to the trades it uses. In North Carolina that includes the general contractor licence issued through the state licensing board for larger projects, and any plumbing or electrical licence the repair needs. No state mold-remediation licence was found in an official source. This website holds no registration, licence or certification and does not claim one.
The attending company's licence and insurance details are given on request by phone, or when it calls ahead of the visit. They are kept off this website to protect the company's private business information. Verify any licence you are given with the North Carolina Licensing Board for General Contractors, and put questions about insurance, permits or the scope to the company in writing before work begins.

Prices are estimates
Price ranges are typical estimates for our service area in 2026. They are not quotes or offers. Your price is confirmed in person before any work starts.
Safety around water damage
Standing water can hide live electrical circuits: do not walk into a flooded room until power to that area is off. Sewage and floodwater (IICRC Category 3) can carry bacteria and viruses; keep children, pets and anyone with a weak immune system away, and do not handle contaminated materials without protection. Visible mold larger than a small patch should be assessed before anyone disturbs it. When in doubt, leave the area and call a professional.
Licensing, standards and insurance
Repair and reconstruction work in North Carolina is regulated by that state's contractor licensing board. The IICRC S500 (water damage) and S520 (mold remediation) standards are industry guidance, not government licenses. Insurance coverage is decided by your insurer under your policy; nothing on this Site is a promise of coverage or of a claim outcome, and information here is a summary, not legal or insurance advice.
